1. Baker & Able

Baker & Able
Have you been to Baker & Able in Huntsville? (Baker & Able / Facebook)

When I asked Huntsville locals for their favorite rooftop bars in Huntsville, Baker & Able claimed many of the votes. While I haven’t had the opportunity to visit first-hand, the story behind its name is totally bananas and makes me want to visit right away.

The bar’s name pays homage to the first monkeys to successfully complete and survive a roundtrip to space—Miss Baker and Miss Mable—who rode to space in a Huntsville-built rocket. Can you think of a better place to toast them then at their namesake bar? I think not.
