Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to eat good food, be surrounded by wonderful company and think about what we hold dearest.

If you want to celebrate but are not sure you have the ability to, there are plenty of businesses in Huntsville offering free Thanksgiving meals throughout the week.

🤝 Village of Promise

Village of Promise is a group which aims to aid children + families in impoverished Huntsville communities through advocacy, fundraising and mentorship.

Their annual One Table Huntsville event is back on Monday, November 24, providing a free + community-based event for families and individuals to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal. The catered meal will include Thanksgiving favorites as well as a vegan option, so everyone can pull up a seat to the table.

Chuck’s Fish is offering a traditional Thanksgiving feast with both dine-in + to-go options available.

There’s no charge to grab a plate, but donations are welcomed with proceeds benefitting Habitat for Humanity.

🍕 Valentina’s Pizzeria

Valentina’s Pizzeria is opening their doors on Thanksgiving Day to provide a place for the community to grab a free meal and enjoy the company of others.

They will feature a Thanksgiving Day buffet with all the classics: turkey, ham, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes + more.

🏠 Downtown Rescue Mission

Downtown Rescue Mission is once again providing “Turkey Boxes” for the Huntsville community containing a whole turkey + sides for 4-6 people.

Although there is currently a waitlist due to exceeding demand, you can still get information about how to get on the waitlist in-person or on their website.
