Auburn to open new 50K-square-foot lab in Huntsville

Auburn University is set to open its new 50,000-square-foot laboratory in Huntsville’s Cummings Research Park on Tuesday, August 18.

The laboratory will feature the nation’s first university-led space electronics testing facility.

Auburn University Research and Innovation already operates a facility on Voyager Way, but the university is opening the new laboratory due to the increase in the national security, space, advanced manufacturing and applied research partnerships the school has developed in the city.

The facility will be home to Auburn students, faculty and 30+ full-time research scientists who will design, build, test, deploy and scale advanced technologies.
