Reading time: 2 minutes
Another month of 2024 has flown by, so it’s time for our monthly guide to the best places we ate in Huntsville. This month, we tried some internationally-inspired food as well as a traditional American burger from a popular local restaurant.
Check out some of the best places we ate in the Rocket City this April:
La Esquina Cocina
“This may sound like a simple chicken sandwich but it’s one of the best I’ve ever had.”
Christian Stanfield, Content Producer Intern, Hville Blast
“This bowl is perfect for a healthy and filling lunch. The flavors come together so nicely and I even had leftovers. I will definitely be ordering this when I go back.”
McCarley Northway, Content Producer, Hville Blast
- Where: 127 Holmes Ave NW Suite 101, Huntsville, AL 35801
- Hours: Sunday 10AM-2PM, Monday-Thursday 11AM-9PM, Friday-Saturday 11AM-10PM

The Poppy + Parliament
“The fish and chips from The Poppy are so authentic and fresh. Plus, the way the servers present them is such a unique experience — you need to check it out for yourself!”
Lacey Spear, Content Manager, Hville Blast
- Where: 117 North Side Square, Huntsville, AL 35801
- Hours: Sunday-Thursday 11AM-10PM, Friday-Saturday 11AM-12AM
- Menu
1892 East Restaurant + Tavern
“The 1892 Burger at 1892 East in 5 Points is perhaps the best burger I’ve had here in Huntsville. Cooked perfectly, topped with cheddar and bacon, it is my go-to when I am craving a burger (which is more often than I would like to admit).”
Michael Seale, Managing Content Producer, Hville Blast
