7 spots in Huntsville to get cozy handcrafted candles

It’s that time of year when scents of sugar cookies, pine needles and hot cocoa fill the air. What better way to get that holiday scent in your home or office than with locally handcrafted candles?

These local makers are crafting some unique holiday candles this season. Keep reading for 7 places to grab cozy candles this season in Huntsville.

1. Holtz Leather Co.

Not only does Holtz Leather Co. make their own candles, but they also make their own pottery vessels. If you’re feeling crafty, stop by one of their retail stores (now in Huntsville and Madison) to make your very own candle at their candle bar. Or, pick up one of their creatively candles with rich scents.

2. Embrace Candles

Festive candles with names like Santa Snacks and Scent-a-mintal Snowman are hard to resist—and you can find them at Embrace Candle Co. in Lowe Mill. For a fun winter break outing, visit Embrace to make your own custom-scented candle.

3. Candy’s Candles

With over 20 scents to choose from, Candy’s Candles has you and everyone on your gift list covered. First on my whiff list would be Hazelnut Coffee and Cardamom & Cream.

4. Pipkin-Hill & Co.

This woman-owned business on Winchester Road makes some luxurious candles. Pipkin-Hill & Co. candles are made from apricot and coconut wax instead of the more common soy wax for a luxurious, unique candle.

5. South and Pine

South & Pine is a one-stop shop for gifts, home decor, kids items and, of course, candles! This Downtown Madison shop carries a carefully crafted line of holiday candles, featuring Sleigh Ride, Hot Cocoa, Christmas Morning and more scents.
