January 20 is National Cheese Lover’s Day, and we’re celebrating with the cheesiest dishes. Read on for recommended spots for each.

1. Cheeseburger

How good does this look? (Emily Kent / Hville Blast)

When I think cheese, my mind immediately goes to a cheeseburger. Sometimes you just need a good burger and National Cheese Lover’s Day seems like the perfect time.

2. Grilled Cheese

You can’t go wrong with a grilled cheese. (Emily Kent / Hville Blast)

The only thing I like more than cheese is when it’s grilled between two pieces of bread. Delish.

3. Mac and Cheese

Dig in. (Emily Kent / Hville Blast)

A classic cheesy dish and one you can’t go wrong with. I’ve never had a bad serving of mac and cheese. Even better? Fried mac and cheese.

4. Cheese board

My favorite. (Emily Kent / Hville Blast)

If you’re in a really cheesy mood, try out some different types of cheeses. My friends and I love grabbing a cheese board at our favorite local spots. We get to try kinds we wouldn’t normally buy and have found some new loves!

Here are three spots we’ve tried:

5. Philly Cheesesteak

I stumbled upon a discussion in a Huntsville Facebook group. Here are what Huntsvillians are their go-to spots for a philly cheesesteak.

6. Cheesecake

What’s your favorite flavor? (Emily Kent / Hville Blast)

It wouldn’t be National Cheese Lover’s Day without cheesecake. The brand-new Cheesecake Factory at Bridge Street Town Centre is a great spot for mouthwatering cheesecake. Check out some local spots for a tasty slice (or two).

BONUS: Take a road trip to Elkmont

I’m always down for a road trip. (Belle Chevre Cheese Shop & Tasting Room / Facebook)

Talk about delicious. Belle Chevre Cheese Shop & Tasting Room is located in Elkmont, a short drive from Huntsville. The goat cheese creamery is in an old cotton warehouse and makes for the perfect day trip.
