The family-owned City Bowls has finally opened its Huntsville location off of Memorial Parkway. We visited their grand opening and got a taste of their awesome açaí, and we will definitely be returning!

Read on to get a glimpse of their spectacular menu and learn about the restaurant’s roots.

What are you ordering first? (Curtis Venetta / Hville Blast)

We ordered the Ah-sigh-ee Bowl, which is one of the restaurant’s more simple menu items set with apple juice, bananas, blueberries, granola and creamy peanut butter. However, City Bowls has an extensive menu that ventures beyond your traditional açaí bases. You can also order:

  • Pitaya Bowls — made with a base of pitaya (the native name for dragon fruit), these bowls will be a little sweeter, closely resembling a kiwi-like flavor
  • Green Bowls — these bowls are made with a base of spinach, making them both tasty and filled with important vitamins

If you’re on the go, you can order in their drive-thru as well.

City Bowls began as a food truck in 2017 before opening their first storefront in Vestavia Hills. Since then they’ve opened locations in Trussville, Hoover, Samford University Cafe, Pensacola, Gulf Breeze and — at last — Huntsville.
