Of the six new building permits issued this past week for construction projects exceeding $1 million, the priciest project is for a new cold storage facility in Marshall County.

Envision Cold’s new facility in Boaz
Envision Cold broke ground in February on a $64–$67 million, 209,000-square-foot cold storage facility in Boaz. The project will serve the local agricultural and poultry industries and is expected to create 82 jobs and support the region’s industrial growth.
A $2.7 million building permit was issued last week to Pioneer Electric Group as part of this project.
