CRU Lounge, the largest Black-owned nightlife chain and largest hookah lounge chain in the United States, has opened a new location in Huntsville. The grand opening was last week at 3750 Highway 53, Huntsville, AL 35806.
The latest Huntsville location is owned and operated by The Gates Family, originally from Atlanta.
What to know about CRU Lounge
It makes sense that one of the fastest-growing urban lounge chains in the country would choose one of the fastest-growing cities in the country as its next lounge location.
By combining hookah with a CBD element in a casual dining, lounge atmosphere, the restaurant has become a celebrity hot spot and has developed the winning recipe for success.
“CRU, which was created over 10 years ago in Atlanta, Georgia, is a fast-casual, hookah-hemp lounge offering unique hookah flavors, hemp oil extracts, small plates and specialty craft cocktails. We have grown exponentially over the past couple of years, and we are excited to be the largest hookah lounge in the United States.”
CRU Lounge owner, Dennis McKinley
Menu items at CRU include traditional wings, burgers, quesadillas, crab mac and cheese, lollipop lamb chops, crab cakes and more.
The hookah menu has items such as:
- HOUSE MIX, which includes mint, orange, peach, banana, watermelon, strawberry, cherry, coconut and vanilla
- CRU MIX, which includes white gummy bear, red gummy bear, kiwi, orange mint, mango, exotic berry, winter fresh mint and blueberry
- Hemp pre-rolls
- Hemp/CBD products
A ‘lifestyle lounge’
From the lush aesthetics to the lively dance floor, CRU Lounge locations nationwide have been widely known as an elite night club experience, and the new Huntsville location is no exception.
“CRU Hemp Lounge isn’t your standard bar or nightclub,” McKinley said. “It is a lifestyle lounge that is catching the eye of not only the patrons but franchise developers alike.”
CRU Lounge is open from 6PM to 1AM Monday through Saturday, and 12PM to 12AM Sundays.
