Decatur Morgan Hospital project among new $1M+ building permits

During the week ending October 9, 2026, 14 new building permits were issued across rhe state for construction projects exceeding $1 million. These permits include projects in Auburn, Decatur, Tallapoosa County and the Birmingham and Tuscaloosa metro areas.

The two Decatur permits are for projects at the Decatur Morgan Hospital Parkway Campus ($2.2 million for renovations) and at God’s Love Covenant Church (a $2.6 million building permit).
