Decatur selected to host the NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championships in 2026 + 2027

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics selected Decatur to host its women’s national soccer championships in 2026 and 2027, city officials announced Monday, May 11.
The announcement came as the city is already midway through hosting this week’s NAIA Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse National Championships at the Jack Allen Recreation Complex.
The complex will host the 2026 NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championships Nov. 30–Dec. 7.

Decatur’s previous NAIA championships
The city has hosted the NAIA three times so far over the past five years:
- This week’s lacrosse championship at Jack Allen Sports Complex is the first in a three-year agreement to host through 2028.
- Decatur hosted the NAIA Men’s Soccer National Championships in 2021-2022.
