Downtown Rescue Mission project among new building permits in Huntsville

Of the 25 new building permits issued this past week in Alabama for construction projects exceeding $1 million, seven are for projects in the Huntsville metro.
Among these is a $5.4 million permit for The Downtown Rescue Mission’s Owen’s House. Here’s more info:
Expansion at DRM Owen’s House
A $5.4 million building permit was issued last week for the Downtown Rescue Mission’s “Building Hope for Tomorrow” Capital Campaign at Owen’s House.
The project will almost double the capacity of the facility to help more people who find themselves in need or unhoused.
The project is expected to take three years to complete. A groundbreaking for the project will take place March 3.
