Engineering design contract secured for new Resolute Way
Reading time: 2 minutes

Last November, we covered how funds were secured to build a new roadway that would alleviate traffic congestion westbound along I-565.
Now, the city has finally reached an agreement with an engineering firm to conduct surveys of the area and plan the design of the future Resolute Way.

More on Resolute Way

The contract is signed with Garver LLC, an engineering consult firm based out of Huntsville, and is worth $680,691. The design is anticipated to be completed mid-2027.
While the finished product does seem a long way off, traffic congestion will clear up greatly once it’s completed.
As seen above, it will give direct access to Redstone Arsenal Gate 9 from Madison Boulevard, which will make entering the Arsenal much easier.
This area has been a pain point for many workers for a long time—hopefully, after phase one is complete, that headache will be fixed.
