Meet Your Instructor

Max McKeown, Horticulture Manager at Huntsville Botanical Garden
Max has eight years of public garden experience and brings an extensive plant palette, excellent design skills, and a scientific approach to horticulture. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas in Horticulture Landscape and Turf Science. He then went on to earn his Master’s of Horticulture from Louisiana State University. In 2025, he received the Early Career Horticulture Alumni Award from the University of Arkansas.
