Join us for an immersive gouache painting workshop focused on the rich variety of mushrooms and fungi native to Alabama’s wild landscapes. Taught by Alabama native artist and instructor Timothy Joe, this hands-on session guides participants through techniques for capturing texture, color, and form using gouache. Ideal for artists of all levels, the workshop includes reference materials and guided instruction on observing and illustrating fungal species with accuracy and artistic expression. Discover the hidden beauty of Alabama’s forest floor—through art.

Students are encouraged to bring their materials, but paints will be available for anyone who needs them.   Open to ages sixteen and over.
