Great Backyard Bird Count at Cane Creek Canyon Nature Preserve
Join us to learn about birding and participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC)! The GBBC is a citizen science project that connects birders from around the world! Using the apps Merlin and/or eBird and good old pen and paper, we will show you how to participate in documenting the birds you see.
We will have binoculars and bird guides for you to use. We will also have birding activities to familiarize ourselves with some common birds in North Alabama and fun activities for children ages 5-12. All ages are welcome.
