Hike at Monte Sano (Cleermont Trailhead)
(Moderate / 1.5 hours / About 2 miles) Fagan Creek is beautiful any time of the year, and December is no exception. The route for this hike will start at Cleermont Trailhead and head east on Wildflower Trail. At the end of Wildflower Trail, you’ll spend just a few minutes on Fagan Springs Trail before heading south on Alms House Trail. You’ll leave Alms House Trail to take a section of Wagon Trail and Young-Kennedy Trail before getting back on Alms House Trail heading northeast. Finish by taking the short Sink Hole Trail back to Wildflower Trail returning to the trailhead.
Note: This preserve has several trailheads – be sure to come to the right one.
Location: Monte Sano Nature Preserve (Cleermont Trailhead) – 603 Cleermont Dr SE, Huntsville, AL 35801
