Hump Day Hike at Wade Mountain
(Moderate to Difficult/ 2 hours/ 3-3.5 miles) Join us for a somewhat challenging midweek hike at the Wade Mountain Nature Preserve starting at the Spragins Hollow trailhead. We will hike up the Devils Racetrack Trail to the top of Wade Mountain. After completing the Devil’s Racetrack loop at the top, we will connect to the Shovelton Trail briefly to reach the Harris Trail. We will complete the entire Harris Trail, connecting to the Rock Wall Trail. We will follow the Rock Wall Trail back to Devils Racetrack Trail for a nice downhill as we return to the trailhead.
Location: Wade Mountain Nature Preserve Spragins Hollow Trailhead – 10130 Spragins Hollow Rd NW, Huntsville, AL 35810
Note: This preserve has multiple trailheads – be sure to go to the right one!
