Learn how to grow herbs, greens, and vegetables in just water! This will be a 90-minute intro course to hydroponics for the at-home gardener. It will cover the principles of hydroponics, different hydroponic systems/ growing medias, basics of water quality/nutrition, indoor artificial lighting and simple ways to start at home.

Meet Your Instructor

Karolina Sawicka, Horticulture Educator at Huntsville Botanical Garden
Karolina is a dedicated educator with 10 years of experience in teaching people of all ages. Currently she is the Horticulture Educator at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens, where she continues to share her knowledge and love of plants with the community. Karolina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Sustainability from Kean University. With a background in hydroponic growing, she has spent 7 years operating a number of hydroponic farms in the NYC and New Jersey, honing her skills in sustainable and innovative gardening.
