SONG CIRCLE | GUITAR PULL

Huntsville Traditional Music Association Studio 1038 invites you to step into one of music’s oldest traditions with a community Guitar Pull and Song Circle at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment! Long before the music industry existed, musicians and storytellers gathered on front porches, in backyards, and around kitchen tables to share songs, swap stories, and inspire one another. Since instruments were often scarce, guitars, fiddles, banjos, and mandolins were passed around the circle, and when it was your turn to play, you would “pull” the instrument into your hands.

That timeless tradition is still alive today, and everyone is invited to be part of it. Whether you’re an experienced musician, just learning a few chords, or simply love listening to live acoustic music, you’ll find a welcoming place in the circle. Bring your own instrument or borrow one of ours—we’ll have guitars and even a fiddle available to pull. Come make music, meet new friends, and experience the joy of sharing songs the way generations of musicians have done for centuries.
