The Independent Presents -The Kid
The Independent Studio 150 in classic Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment invites you to experience a vintage cinematic adventure. The Kid (1921) is a landmark American silent comedy-drama written, produced, directed by, and starring Charlie Chaplin. The film also features Jackie Coogan as an abandoned child who becomes the Tramp’s adopted son and loyal companion. Marking Chaplin’s first full-length feature as a director, The Kid masterfully blends heartfelt emotion with timeless comedy. The film was a tremendous success upon its release and became the second highest-grossing movie of 1921, solidifying its place as one of the most beloved classics of the silent film era.
