VBC 5K Music Run

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (July 31, 2025) – Start your morning on the right note – the VBC’s 5K Music Run returns Saturday, August 30 at 8:00 a.m. for Year Two, and this time, the celebration is louder, longer, and more musical than ever.

The race starts on Monroe Street in front of the Von Braun Center’s (VBC) Propst Arena lobby and finishes with a live music after-party inside VBC Mars Music Hall, marking the start of Huntsville Music Month and continuing the VBC’s 50th Anniversary celebration.  

This one-of-a-kind event is a collaboration between the Von Braun Center and the Huntsville Music Office, blending community, culture, and cardio as runners make their way through Downtown Huntsville to the sound of live music performances along the route. 

“This race is a celebration of everything the VBC stands for – bringing people together through live experiences,” said Samantha Nielsen, Director of Marketing & PR at the Von Braun Center. “It’s high energy, it’s local, and it’s the perfect way to launch Huntsville Music Month with the support of our incredible music community.”

NEW COURSE REVEALED:

This year’s runner-approved route – designed with help from Fleet Feet Huntsville – is a 5K winding through Downtown’s vibrant streets. Runners will enjoy a mix of urban scenery, live background music, and a photo-ready finish at Mars Music Hall.  Course map now available at vonbrauncenter.com. 

Every registered runner receives:

• A commemorative 2025 race medal
• Official race t-shirt (register by Monday, August 4 to guarantee size and availability)
