Spring is in full swing and the Huntsville area has plenty of cool stuff to do this weekend — both indoors and outdoors — to enhance the season.

Check out these awesome local events happening this weekend:

1. Downtown Food Truck Rallies

Grab your friends, family or pets and head downtown to enjoy mouthwatering food truck vendors each month. Don’t forget to bring a chair or blanket to sit, eat and listen to live music. 

2. Concerts on the Dock, featuring The Otis Walker Band

The Concerts on the Dock series at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment continues Friday night with a free show by the Oris Walker Band, with special guest, EC Frazier opening up.

3. Caribbean Qarnival 5K

Put on your running shoes and head to downtown Huntsville for a 5k run (and a 1-mile fun run) for a great cause. The event aims to promote Mental Health Awareness Month, observed each May.

4. Five Points Yard Sale

The Five Points Historic District coordinates a yard sale with participating households in the area every year and you are sure to find all kinds of gems at more than a dozen homes participating in the sale.

5. Fitness in the Park – Dance Fitness

Fitness in the Park continues this weekend. This free dance fitness workout is for participants ages 16+ and will be led by M.E.R.C. Fitness Asylum.

6. Cruisin’ for Cancer Car Show

Check out some cool cars and trucks and enjoy a great day outside with food, beverages and tons of fun. And take part in the cheering on of cancer patients in the Huntsville area.

7. Rocket City BBQ + Soul Fest

The largest BBQ Festival in North Alabama is back this weekend. Enjoy great food, friends, live music, a BBQ Cook-Off and activities for the entire family. Bring a lawn chair and relax below a shade tree while taking in the soulful sounds from the regions best soul artists and DJ’s. 

8. Rosie’s Plaza Annual Spring Festival

Did we mention that spring is in full force? Well, so are spring celebrations, like the Annual Rosie’s Spring Festival, which fearures great food, some fabulous live music and tons of family fun.

9. Huntsville Havoc Annual Yard Sale

Come stop by the Propst Arena lobby to shop pro-stock gear, player-issued gear and discounted Huntsville Havoc merch.

10. Annual North Precinct Block Party 

Enjoy all kinds of family fun, hosted by the Huntsville Police Department. There will be several chances to win bicycles and other prizes as well as inflatables and a DJ spinning tunes all day.

11. North Side Square Spring Fest

The Square downtown will be hopping this Saturday! Enjoy live music, great food, drink specials from local restaurants and ROLLER DERBY!

12. Huntsville City FC vs Atlanta

Come cheer on your Huntsville City Football Club at Joe Davis Stadium this weekend as they host Atlanta United 2.

13. Steve Miller Band

The Orion Amphitheater welcomes the Steve Miller Band this weekend, playing a show benefiting Huntsville Hospital.

14. 3rd Annual Weird Kids Art Show

If you love art and want to support Huntsville’s art scene, you will definitely want to head down to Shenanigans Comedy Theatre for the annual Weird Kids Art Show.
