Former Remington campus one of 6 new high-dollar projects in North Alabama

Of the 17 new building permits in Alabama issued for projects exceeding $1 million, six of them are for projects in North Alabama.

The largest of these building permits issued this past week is on the campus of the former Remington Outdoors facility in Huntsville, a project exceeding $20 million. Here’s what we know so far:

New warehouse at former Remington Outdoors property

After the Remington Outdoors operations in Huntsville closed in 2020, the property was purchased by Twenty Lake Holdings, a Connecticut-based Real Estate Investment and Management Company for $25 million.

The $23 million building permit pulled this past week is for a project that will be built on the Remington campus. The new building permit associated with the former Remington Outdoors facility is for a new spec warehouse building adjacent to the existing facility, according to city officials.

Twenty Lake Holdings has another project on Electronics Drive with a $7 million building permit. Arco/Murray is the lead contractor on both of these projects.
