The 2024 Summer Olympic Games are beginning later this week in Paris France.

With so much attention on the games and the region surrounding them, we wanted to create a guide to help you get a taste of the games here in Huntsville. Here are 5 great French restaurants you can find around town:

1) L’Etoile Patisserie

For great authentic French baked goods, L’Etoile Patisserie is your best bet.

With great food and a charming atmosphere, all their pastries are baked fresh in-house each morning and affordably priced.

We featured them previously in our drinking around the world coffee guide.

2) Le Petit Bijou

Translating to the little gem, Le Petit Bijou is a spin-off wine bar from Domaine South.

You’ll find a curated selection of wines, cheeses and charcuterie here as well as sandwiches and other traditional menu items.

3) Pofta Buna International

Pofta Buna is not a strictly French restaurant but rather incorporates influences from France, Romania and Greece to make delicious Mediterranean and European-inspired dishes.

For that French flair we recommend trying one of the many crepes they offer.

4) Tous les Jours

You’ll find Tous les Jours on the main strip in Mid City.

Tous les Jours is a hybrid bakery, that combines traditional French and Japanese baked goods into unique offerings that always hit the spot.

5) Le Macaron

Le Macaron has two locations in Huntsville, one at Bridge Street and one in Jones Valley.

Despite what the name might lead you to believe, they offer a lot more than just macarons, they have a full menu of treats and beverages.

You can read our full write-up of Le Macaron to learn more about the owners and offerings.
