The deadline is quickly approaching for students to apply for the annual GEO Huntsville scholarship (one of Mayor Tommy Battle’s Exemplar City initiatives).

The deadline to apply is Nov. 11, so interested students need to get their applications in as soon as possible. Read on to find out more:

The GEO Huntsville Scholarship

GEO Huntsville’s annual scholarship is awarded to a geospatial industry-related student who wishes to grow their knowledge and skill-set. This scholarship of $1,000 shall go towards the awardees educational needs.

Criteria:

  • Must be a rising High School Senior or current college student (Freshman-Senior) who is working towards a career in a geospatial-related field in the Huntsville Area.
  • Write a summary in the provided form explaining:
    • Why are you interested in the geospatial field?
    • What are your geospatial career goals?
    • How will you achieve your geospatial career goals?
