Huntsville Havoc to retire jersey of 7-year veteran Nolan Kaiser

The Huntsville Havoc announced this week that the team will retire the jersey number of longtime defenseman Nolan Kaiser. Kaiser played seven seasons for the Havoc — 281 games, as a matter of fact.

A native of Calgary, Kaiser played his college hockey at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks before joining the Havoc in 2015. He played a key role in the Havoc’s back-to-back championships in 2018 and 2019.
Here are some more notable stats in Kaiser’s career:
- Played in a total of 281 games for Huntsville
- Recorded 50 goals and 138 assists for a total of 187 points
- Had 555 penalty minutes while playing for the Havoc
- Was twice named to the First Team All-SPHL.
The ceremony
Kaiser will be honored prior to the game on March 31 as a part of Championship Reunion weekend. Tickets can be purchased from Ticketmaster, the VBC Box Office, or over the phone from the Havoc office (256-518-6160).

Kaiser’s number is the fifth jersey retired by the Havoc. His no. 10 joins Chris George (no. 17), Mike Degurse (no. 33), John Gibson (no. 23) and Stuart Stefan (no. 7) in the rafters as retired numbers.
