Here are 5 new businesses to welcome to the Huntsville area

This week, we have five new businesses to introduce to you — businesses that have recently opened or have announced they are opening — here in the Rocket City.
Unfortunately we also have a couple of closings to announce as well. Here’s what’s up:
1. Cut A Rug Tufting Studio
This is a new rug tufting studio that offers a make-your-own-rug experience at the historic Lowe Mill Arts and Entertainment building in Huntsville.

2. Luis’s Mexican Bar + Grill
The newest Mexican restaurant to open here in Huntsville offers delicious Mexican fare with a cozy atmosphere.

3. B3 Event Center
B3E is a full-service event décor, lighting and floral company — and an event design house that offers customized event planning and wedding services.

4. Bella Momi
Bella Momi aims to be your premier destination for hookah and crafted drinks. Located on University Drive, the new spot will have a soft opening this week.

5. Flying Biscuit Cafe
This new location for the breakfast specialists will be located at The Foundry off Governor’s Drive — the third Flying Biscuit Cafe in Alabama — and will open some time in 2025.

These Huntsville-area businesses are closing
Here are a couple of businesses in the area that have announced they are closing their doors, unfortunately:
Flight Plan Wine + Tapas
Flight Plan Wine and Tapas Restaurant will be closing permanently on Saturday, September 7th.
The Brass Tap
The Brass Tap announced last week its last day open would be August 3. This spot, known for its beer and brunch, was a chain based in Florida.
