Highway 431 resurfacing project now set for June 14

The Alabama Department of Transportation announced that a resurfacing project on US-431 in Albertville will begin this weekend. Weather permitting, ALDOT will begin nighttime resurfacing of four miles of US-431 on Sunday evening.

4 miles of US-431 in Albertville to undergo resurfacing

The $3 million project involves milling and paving the divided four-lane highway from south of SR-75 at Miller Street to Brashers Chapel Road.
- ⏰ Single lane closures: 6PM-6AM Sunday nights through Thursday nights
- 🗓️ Expected completion: late summer or early fall according to ALDOT
- 🚗 What it means for motorists: Traffic delays should be expected in the evenings along that stretch until the project’s completion
A subcontractor will install signs for the project next week.
