Homewood Suites in Madison among new million-dollar-plus North Alabama projects

This week, 18 new building permits were issued in Alabama for construction projects exceeding $1 million. Of those, five are projects located in the Huntsville area.

The new Homewood Suites hotel in Town Madison is one of those new million-dollar-plus projects. Here’s what we know:

Homewood Suites in Town Madison

Ground was broken in June for the new Homewood Suites hotel in Town Madison, a $12 million project led by Fite Building Co., who has partnered with the hotel company in the past.

Here are some details on the project:

The hotel will have 100 rooms
It is categorized as one of Hilton’s upper brands
This is an extended stay in which every room has a kitchen
The hotel features meeting space, a swimming pool, a firepit, a business center, a guest laundry and innovative hotel technology
The hotel is expected to open within 12 to 14 months
