Honda dealership in Decatur among new high-dollar building permits

This past week, four new building permits were issued statewide for construction projects exceeding $1 million. Two of those permits are for projects in the Huntsville area.

One in particular is for a $9.5 million facility for Shottenkirk Honda in Decatur. Here’s more:

Shottenkirk Honda building new facility

Although Shottenkirk Honda has been a part of the Decatur business community for more than 40 years, the nationwide dealership is building a new facility next to their existing one on Beltline Road.

The new facility is expected to create additional job opportunities, enhance service capabilities with updated tools and technology and provide a space to host community events.

Baxter Construction Co. is listed as the lead contractor for this project, which broke ground last week.
