North Alabama residents need to be weather aware Tuesday

A rite of spring in Alabama is to be prepared for severe weather, and this week is no exception. In the Huntsville area, the National Weather Service forecasts some possible severe stormed Tuesday afternoon and evening.
Make sure you are prepared and have access to information in case of a power outage.
Severe weather in Huntsville
The National Weather Service in Huntsville warns of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds, large hail and a few tornadoes across the Tennessee Valley Tuesday afternoon and evening.
Storms are expected to hit Northwest Alabama between 2PM and 5Pm Tuesday, and Northeast Alabama between 8PM-11PM. These storms could produce power outages, unsafe road conditions and property damage, according to NWS reports.
