Huntsville International Airport nominated for Best Small Airport

USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards has nominated our airport as one of the 20 best “Small Airports” in the United States, and voting is already underway to determine which location will be honored with this distinction.

If you’d like to cast your vote and support Huntsville’s local airport, you can do so here — voting will last until October 5 at 10:59PM CST, with the winner being announced on October 14. You are allowed to cast one vote per day.

Huntsville International Airport’s excellence has been recognized before. It was voted Best Small Airport by USA Today in 2020, and also by Newsweek Readers’ Choice in 2024 and 2025 respectively. It also finished second in USA Today’s 2023 report.

Who all was nominated for Best Small Airport?

Unfortunately, USA Today 10Best doesn’t specifically list what qualifies as a “small airport,” simply that these locations serve a smaller number of passengers when compared to some of the giants, like JFK and ATL.
