Huntsville City FC to host open tryouts in January for new players

Those of you looking to possibly play for the Huntsville City FC can take a shot at trying out for the team next month, as the team will hold open tryouts Jan. 20.

The open tryouts will give participants a chance to showcase their skills to Huntsville City FC Head Coach Jack Collison and the team’s technical staff.

While a spot on the team is certainly not guaranteed, the staff with the Huntsville City FC is not opposed to bringing in and utilizing the skills of players they may not have already scouted.

Two players who participated in the 2023 open tryouts made it to the initial preseason squad, with one of them playing in one of the club’s preseason matches.

Here’s the info you need to participate:

Participants can sign up here through Jan. 15 to try out for the club.
Tryouts are open to players 18 and older.
Participants must pay a $200 fee to try out.
Tryouts will be held Jan, 20 at John Hunt Park at 2151 Jaycee Way, Huntsville, AL 35801, from 10AM to 1PM (Registration opens at 9AM).
