Truckworx facility among 7 new high-dollar building permits

Of the 16 new building permits issued this past week in Alabama for construction projects exceeding $1 million, seven are for projects here in North Alabama.

Here’s more on these new high-dollar building permits:

New Truckworx/Kenworth facility

One of the larger building permits issued this past week is for a new truck sales and service facility for Truckworx/Kenworth at 28540 Fanning Drive.

The new 50,000-square-foot building will include new offices, a parts warehouse and full service shop area, as well as extensive site work/parking.

Construction is expected to start this week with completion by the end of the year. The $11 million permit has Dunn Building Co. listed as the lead contractor. Dunn has extensive experience with Truckworx/Kenworth facilities.
