Mandrella said the Meetup would include a recap of 2023 items as well as a look into the future. This year marked the launch of the Music Ambassador Program (MAP), Make Music Day, Huntsville Music Month, the inaugural Launchpad Music Festival, an expanded Women in Music Week as well as other events and career development programming.
Highlights to discuss at the meeting also include the successful run of shows at The Orion Amphitheater, Mars Music Hall and other stages inside the Von Braun Center; the Music Cities Convention in October; and the announcement of a major music festival in John Hunt Park

“We’ve taken tremendous strides over the past year on our journey towards becoming an international music destination, and that’s mostly a testament to Huntsville’s talented artists, those working behind the scenes at venues and within the tourism and hospitality industries, music educators and the dedicated fans coming out to support the arts,” he said. “There’s a lot of interest and excitement around our music scene right now, and there are some really awesome things on the horizon that will help us ensure that we can sustain that momentum.”
