Huntsville road work update: 60 roads approved for resurfacing

Road resurfacing is one of the most frequently cited issues expressed by Huntsville residents, and at this week’s City Council meeting, some of those issues were addressed.
The City of Huntsville approved two contracts for roadwork projects in the second phase of the 2026 fiscal year resurfacing budget.

60 roads get the go-ahead for resurfacing

Rogers Group was awarded the bid for residential street resurfacing for $4,985,450. Lambert Contracting LLC will handle concrete improvements and ADA upgrades under a contract worth $3,465,877.
More than 60 residential streets are included in this phase. The list of streets can be viewed HERE.
The city has increased its resurfacing budget for 2026 by $500,000 to more than $18.8 million.
