Huntsville women bringing comedy to the Rocket City: [WATCH]

Did you know that Huntsville has its own comedy troupe?
Shenanigans Comedy Theatre is a local, women-owned improv + comedy theatre right here in Huntsville.
Huntsville-based couple Kimberly + Jessica opened the theatre in 2019 as a way to find community + laughs in the Rocket City.
Meet Kimberly + Jessica
Shenanigans co-founders Kimberly and Jessica have always been funny, and learned quickly growing up that humor is a wonderful device to connect to others.
Kimberly + Jessica opened the doors of Shenanigans after noticing a distinct lack of spaces meant for comedy:
“I started looking around and you either had to rent an entire theater or be in the back of a bar somewhere. I thought, ‘it doesn’t exist—I think I just have to make it.'”

Their goal was to build community through laughter and create a space where people felt supported + loved:
“We’ve really built this great community here, and that’s the part I love most. People find their family here, either through becoming part of the classes or the shows.”

What Shenanigans offers
Beyond stand-up shows, Shenanigans offers both improv + stand-up classes to help amateur comics craft material + build community.
“I love helping people find their voice, being able to express themselves in that way and to see their confidence build over the time of the class.

The theatre also offers movie nights, artist markets, game nights and more.
