Reading time: 2 minutes

If you’re anything like me, sweet treats can turn any day around.
Whether you need a pick-me-up after a tough day or you’re just craving something sweet, here are some spots to satisfy your sweet tooth.
What are you craving?
Chill Delights

If you were to ask me what my favorite kind of treat is, I would say ice cream.
- Big Spoon Creamery: I love to grab a scoop of their house-made artisan ice cream when I walk around Big Spring Park.
- Handel’s Ice Cream: This is the place for fun and unique flavors like salted caramel brownie and teddy graham.
- Whit’s Frozen Custard: We recently covered the opening, and man, does this place hit the spot. I love enjoying a scoop and walking around Providence.
Baked Bliss

You can never go wrong with a bakery—there’s always something sweet for everyone.
- Cookie Fix: If cookies are your thing, you don’t want to miss this spot. They even offer cookie dough to-go.
- The Moon Bakeshop: This community favorite bakeshop in downtown is a standout for their rotating pastry menu, tasty coffee and fun decor.
Doughnut Haven

Whether you are craving a plain, sprinkles or specialty, there is a donut waiting for you.
- Bigfoot’s Little: This family-owned bakery has perfected the art of mini donuts with big flavors. Of many options, I’d have to say my favorite is Fruit Pepples.
- Kay Donuts: This is one of those local gems that you’ll want to keep coming back to. My go-to is the cinnamon donut.
- Parlor Doughnuts: They take donuts to the next level by offering flavors like Maple Bacon, Cookies N’ Creme and more.
