Reading time: 2 minutes
It will be interesting to watch January’s weather unravel in the coming weeks. While some sources—like the Farmer’s Almanac—predict warm weather, others—like James Spann—say extremely cold temperatures and possible snow may be on the horizon.
Read on to learn more about these frigid predictions.
Spann says there’s a chance of snow in Huntsville
Alabama’s well-respected meteorologist James Spann predicts very cold air in January, with lows dipping into the teens and 20s a week into January.
Spann says this may bring some of the coldest air we’ve experienced since December 2022. Around January 10-12, North Alabama temperatures could even drop to the single digits.
Snow chances are currently predicted to be 50% or more in North Alabama for mid-January.
However, according to Spann, models are all over the map right now, so it’s too early to be certain.
