Jeff Samz, President and CEO of Huntsville Hospital Health System, has been elected chair of the Alabama Hospital Association Board of Trustees. The election took place during the association’s annual meeting on June 5.

What Jeff Samz will do for the Alabama Hospital Association BOT
Founded in 1921, the Alabama Hospital Association is a statewide trade organization dedicated to supporting member hospitals in meeting the healthcare needs of Alabama residents.
As chair, Samz will lead the Association’s Board of Trustees and work closely with hospital leaders across Alabama to advance policies and initiatives that strengthen healthcare access, quality and sustainability for communities across the state.

Samz serves as President and CEO of Huntsville Hospital Health System, one of Alabama’s largest health systems. The system includes 15 hospitals, dozens of ambulatory locations and approximately 22,000 employees across North Alabama. The hospital recently completed the purchase of Crestwood Medical Center.
Samz is actively engaged in leadership roles in many civic and professional organizations, including:
- Business Council of Alabama
- Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce
- U.S. Space and Rocket Center Education Foundation
