Johns Landing among 13 new million-dollar-plus projects in Huntsville area

Of the 17 new building permits issued for million-dollar-plus construction projects in Alabama this week, 13 of them are located in the Huntsville area.

Among the large projects in Huntsville is the multi-million-dollar Johns Landing apartment complex, expected to include more than 100 units. Here’s what we know about these new North Alabama projects:

Three permits issued this week in Alabama are to the Johns Landing apartments – one of multiple projects in Huntsville exceeding $1 million. The apartments are located at 536 Johns Road. Mission Contractors is listed as the contractor with LR Huntsville listed as the owner.

Each permit is more than $10 million. Here’s what else we know about the project:

Located at the intersection of Johns Road Northwest and Plummer Road
173,575 square feet of living an amenity space
177 total units
Steps away from major employers such as the Boeing Company and Dynetics
Residents will experience the convenience of nearby points of interest like Publix, Providence Mainstreet and more
Property is expected to open to tenants in 2024
