Maple Street Biscuit closed—will it become a new Biscuit Belly?

Cracker Barrel announced on July 20 it will sell or close all of its Maple Street Biscuit Company locations, with the Madison location closed effective immediately. Biscuit Belly, based in Louisville, has purchased 36 of the 52 Maple Street locations nationwide and will convert them into their brand. This does not, however, currently include the Madison location at Clift Farm.
According to a report from Biscuit Belly, the two Alabama locations included in the sale are located in Daphne and Mobile.

Biscuit Belly founder and CEO Chad Coulter said that over the next 18-24 months, the company will convert 36 Maple Street Biscuit locations to Biscuit Belly locations. Biscuit Belly will have 60+ locations by the end of 2028.
