6 Huntsville restaurants for the best peaches right now
Reading time: 4 minutes

When it’s summertime in Alabama, sinking your teeth into fresh peaches is as essential as sinking your toes into our beaches.
Now’s the time when they pop up in dishes and drinks on seasonal menus at local restaurants, while there’s a bounty to buy fresh by the basket at local markets.
And here’s some juicy news: We sniffed out some prime spots for finding the best peaches in Huntsville and beyond.
A guide to the best peaches in Huntsville
Biscuit Belly’s peach menu

Huntsville’s local Biscuit Belly franchise owner, Wendy Coates, says the restaurant offered dishes featuring bourbon and brown sugar peaches last year, and they were such a hit, there was no question they’d bring them back this summer.
Biscuit Belly’s peach menu includes:
- The Peachie: A French toast style biscuit topped with house-made bourbon peaches, whipped cream and candied pecan pralines
- The Peach Please: All of the above, except a fluffy, from-scratch buttermilk biscuit instead of the French toast style
- Peach pancakes: All of the above, except instead of a biscuit, the peach concoction is served alongside three large, fluffy pancakes topped with powdered sugar and two slices of bacon on the side
- Bourbon peaches: All by themselves, because why not?
- Peach mimosas: Regular or jumbo
- Bourbon peach tea: For a peach fuzzy buzz
- Nonalcoholic peach tea: Add a splash of peach flavor to your sweet tea

It’s that time: Domaine Summer Salad is back

The Domaine Summer Salad comes with a stamp of approval from our own Lacey Muenstermann, who says this is “truly the best salad I’ve had in my life!”
She’s joined quite a large following for this salad, which includes heirloom tomato, local peaches, halloumi, crunchy arugula, feta cheese, tangerine EVOO, balsamic and fresh basil.

Peach of a grilled cheese @ Sea Salt

While this one is on the menu all the time, we felt like the peach chutney in the adult grilled cheese at Sea Salt earned it an honorable mention. This scrumptious sandwich includes the chutney and sriracha, balancing sweet and heat along with triple cream brie and juicy jumbo lump crab.
