NEW: Local business Mocktails for Mommy to hit Sam’s Club shelves this year
Reading time: 2 minutes
Mocktails for Mommy, Alabama’s first and only Black woman-owned mocktail brand, has landed a groundbreaking deal with Sam’s Club. The business’s brand new MAMÁ nonalcoholic wine is set to hit the wholesale club’s shelves later this year. This news comes just months after the brand was selected as a member of the Target Forward Founders cohort.
Read on to learn more about the small business and its dedicated CEO, Dr. Ashley Hunt-Poole.
What is Mocktails for Mommy?
Mocktails for Mommy was founded by Dr. Ashley Hunt-Poole, a mother herself, who is very involved in the Huntsville community. She has created several delicious, nonalcoholic beverages throughout her career, including the all-new MAMÁ wine. The brand was created with the purpose of curbing alcoholism and encouraging a healthier lifestyle.
Dr. Hunt-Poole’s connection with her target audience is anything but surface-level. She is also the founder of Mommy & Me, a nonprofit organization that provides scholarships, financial assistance and education to women, helping them become independent members of society. She also runs the Mompreneur Magazine and a business consulting company, Dr. Poole Knows Best.
Introducing MAMÁ…
MAMÁ is Dr. Hunt-Poole’s newest product — the first nonalcoholic wine brand. On sale now for $19.99/bottle, the current flavors of MAMÁ include Momma Rosé, Momscato Peach and Sweet Momma, an herb- and caramel-flavored wine.
“Stay tuned for the grand launch and join us in celebrating this momentous achievement! Cheers to innovation, diversity, and delicious mocktails for all.”
