2 key ways the Limestone Sheriff’s Rodeo gives back to the community
Serious competitive rodeo action (Limestone Sheriff’s Rodeo)
In addition to raising essential funds to support the Sheriff’s Department, the rodeo gives back to the community in two different ways: an Exceptional Needs Rodeo, and two college scholarships for high school seniors.
Exceptional Needs Rodeo
- When: Friday, May 17, 10AM-1PM
- Where: Limestone Sheriff’s Rodeo Arena, 18020 AL-99, west of Athens
- Who: Participants are individuals from North Alabama with special needs
- Free to attend
“This is an excellent example of the good that can come from a nonprofit organization. By providing a unique and thrilling experience for individuals with exceptional needs, we are able to make a positive impact on the lives of many.
Through our continued commitment to inclusivity and support, the Exceptional Needs Rodeo always makes a huge difference for the North Alabama Region.”

2024 Limestone County Sheriff’s Rodeo, Inc. College Scholarship for FFA + 4-H
One of the important ways the rodeo gives back is by working with Turn Key Health Clinics to sponsor two $1K scholarships for Athens-Limestone County high school seniors—one student from Future Farmers of America (FFA) and one from 4-H.
“The Limestone County Sheriff’s Rodeo is excited each year to support students who want to pursue higher education but lack the financial means to do so.
Through our scholarship program that benefits one FFA Senior Student and one 4-H Senior Student, we are helping to create a more educated and prosperous society, one student at a time.”
