Huntsville to be 3rd AL city with its own official MONOPOLY

That’s right—the custom board game will feature real Huntsville-area businesses, non-profits and landmarks that help define the Rocket City.

The board will also include a customized Community Chest, Chance cards and MONOPOLY money.💰

“Placemaking is about creating communities that people recognize, connect with and take pride in, and there may be no more recognizable celebration of place than having your own MONOPOLY board.”

Dennis Madsen, Huntsville’s Manager of Urban and Long-Range Planning

🗓️ MONOPOLY: Huntsville Edition will be available in stores, online and at select local retailers in March 2027.

“As planners, we spend our days thinking about the places that define Huntsville’s character and future.

It’s exciting to see those same landmarks, destinations and community assets become part of a game that has introduced generations of people to the idea that places matter.

We look forward to seeing how Huntsville’s story is told through Monopoly.”
