Gurley, Alabama, located about 25 minutes east of Huntsville, has just a few places where you can get food and drink. That short list (which includes the newly-updated Mr. PoBoy) is getting a new addition soon, though.

My Brothers Coffee Company is opening this month, and we can’t wait to visit the little shop with a homey atmosphere and locally-sourced coffee. Here’s what you need to know.

The new shop is planning to open in mid-February

My Brothers Coffee Company is making quick progress toward its opening date.

The little shop is planning on opening mid-February, in time to keep locals warm during the last stretch of winter.

You’ll be able to sit at the bar, outdoors on nice days or swing by the drive-thru if you’re in a hurry. It’s located right off Highway 72 East, which makes it a convenient stop for those traveling back and forth between the Huntsville and Scottsboro areas.

Everything about it will be uniquely local

My Brothers Coffee Company isn’t going to be a cookie-cutter coffee shop. From the coffee to the exterior to the decor, everything about it will be local and unique.

The owner hand-painted the exterior of the old building, with the word “COFFEE” adorning the side. Inside, it’s going to have a homey atmosphere with furniture and decor built by the owner himself.

The fireplace will be blazing on cold days, and the bar will be a cozy spot for coffee and conversations.

They’ll be brewing locally-sourced coffee from Red Bike Coffee Company, a Birmingham-based coffee roaster.

Here’s where you can find My Brothers Coffee Company.
