The retail development will be constructed on the southwest corner of the Memorial Parkway/Northern Bypass intersection, located across Memorial Parkway from the new full-service Food City grocery store that opened in July.

Here’s what else we know about North Village Town Center:

  • Initial anchors will be Target and Home Depot.
  • An Express Oil Change location will also be part of the development and be built on the east side of Memorial Parkway in front of Food City.
  • Retailers will include department stores, home improvement, grocery, health + fitness centers, restaurants, small shops and more.
  • The first phase of construction is expected to begin in spring 2026 with initial store openings following in 2027.
  • Phase II will be a retail development on the north side of Northern Bypass at Memorial Parkway.

“The development of this retail center is a result of our success in bringing in new jobs, infrastructure investments and several new residential communities to District 1. Today, we were able to announce a massive retail development that north Huntsville deserves.”

Mayor Tommy Battle
