New ALDOT project in Albertville to commence August 3

A much-needed road resurfacing project on SR-75 northeast of Albertville will begin Monday, August 3, according to the Alabama Department of Transportation.

ALDOT’s resurfacing project near Albertville
The $1.3 million project with Grayson Carter and Son Contracting will mill and resurface the divided four-lane highway near Albertville.
The project extends from Gary Road, north of the intersection with SR-68 and Hustleville Road in Marshall County, to CR-1982, just across the county line in DeKalb County where the highway narrows to two lanes.
Motorists can expect delays due to daily single-lane closures. ALDOT anticipates completion of the project in early fall.
